T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta Ha 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress, 2 Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: 3 It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, 4 the All Merciful settled on the throne. 5 Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod. 6 If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 And has the story of Musa come to you? 9 When he saw a fire he said to his family: "You wait here. I have seen a fire. I may haply be able to bring an ember from it, or find direction by the fire." 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 “Indeed I am your Lord, therefore take off your shoes; indeed you are in the holy valley of Tuwa!” 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: 15 Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. 16 "What do you have in your right hand, Moses?" 17 'It is my staff," Moses replied, "upon it I lean and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep and for me there are other uses in it' 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 Moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent. 20 (Allah) said, "Seize it, and fear not: We shall return it at once to its former condition".. 21 And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent.' 24
