T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not revealed unto thee (Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed, 2 but only as an exhortation for him who fears God; 3 a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens 4 The Beneficent Allah is firm in power. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 And if thou say anything aloud, [He hears it] since, behold, He knows [even] the secret [thoughts of man] as well as all that is yet more hidden [within him]. 7 God - there is no deity save Him; His [alone] are the attributes of perfection! 8 And has the story of Musa come to you? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait – I have seen a fire – perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 Verily, I am thy Sustainer! Take off, then, thy sandals! Behold, thou art in the twice hallowed valley, 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed: 13 I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. 14 Verily the Hour is coming - I wish to conceal it - in order that every one may be requited according to that which he hath endeavoured. 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He said: This is my staff whereon I lean, and wherewith I bear down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses. 18 The Lord said, "Moses, throw it on the ground". 19 So he cast it down; and lo! it was a serpent running. 20 (Allah) said, "Seize it, and fear not: We shall return it at once to its former condition".. 21 "Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,- 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 Go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious." 24
