Moses said, "Lord, grant me courage. 25 "Ease my task for me; 26 "And remove the impediment from my speech, 27 that they may understand my words. 28 And appoint for me a minister from my family - 29 Harun, my brother. 30 by him confirm my strength, 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 so that we may glorify You much 33 And may make mention of Thee oft. 34 Surely Thou seest into us.' 35 God said, "You have been granted your request, Moses." 36 And We had already conferred favor upon you another time, 37 when We revealed Our will to your mother, saying, 38 'Put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. The river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I spread My love over you in order that you might be reared in My sight. 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 I have chosen you for Me. 41 So go forth, both you and your brother, with My Signs, and do not slacken in remembering Me. 42 "Go, both of you, to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds; 43 Both of you must speak with him in a gentle manner so that perhaps he may come to himself or have fear (of God)." 44 They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress." 45 [Allah] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see. 46 They came to the Pharaoh and told him that they were the Messengerss of his Lord and that they wanted him to let the Israelites go with them and stop afflicting the Israelites with torment. They told the Pharaoh, "We have brought miracles from Our Creator. Peace be with those who follow the right guidance. 47 Surely it has been revealed to us that the chastisement will surely come upon him who rejects and turns back. 48 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Who then, O Musa (Moses), is the Lord of you two?" 49 They replied, "Our Lord is the One Who has created all things and has given guidance". 50 He said: Then what is the state of the former generations? 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
