Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 Make my task easy 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 that they may understand my words. 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 Add Thou through him to my strength, 31 and associate him with me in my task. 32 that we may abundantly extol Your glory; 33 And much remember Thee. 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 He replied: 'Moses, your request is granted. 36 It is the second time that We have bestowed upon you Our favor. 37 when We revealed what was revealed unto thy mother: 38 saying: "Put him in the box and cast it into the river. The river will cast him on to the bank, and he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his." I lavished My Love on you, and to be formed in My Sight. 39 Your sister went to them and said, "May I show you someone who will nurse this child?" We returned you to your mother to make her rejoice and forget her grief. You slew a man and We saved you from trouble. We tried you through various trials. Then you stayed some years with the people of Midian (Shu'ayb and his family) and after that you came back to Egypt as was ordained. 40 I have chosen thee for My service; 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear. 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 He (Allah) said: "Fear not, verily! I am with you both, hearing and seeing. 46 So go to him, and say: verily we are two apostles of thy Lord, so let go with us the Children of Isra'il, and torment them not; surely we have come unto thee with a sign from thy Lord: and peace be upon him who followeth the guidance. 47 Surely it has been revealed to us that the chastisement will surely come upon him who rejects and turns back. 48 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Who then, O Musa (Moses), is the Lord of you two?" 49 (Moses) said: "Our Lord is He who gave everything its natural form and directed it." 50 Pharaoh asked, "What about the previous generations?" 51 Moses said: "Its knowledge is with my Lord, recorded in the Book. My Lord does not err, nor does He forget." 52 Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths etc.) for you therein; and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
