[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] 25 and ease my task for me, 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 that they may understand my speech. 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 Strengthen by him my back. 31 And let him share my task 32 that we may abundantly extol Your glory; 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 He said, “O Moosa, you have been granted your prayer.” 36 "And indeed, We bestowed Our favour upon thee at a time long since past, 37 when We revealed Our will to your mother, saying, 38 "'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye. 39 Then your sister followed you, and said (to the people who had retrieved the child): 'Should I guide you to a person who can nurse him?' We thus brought you back to your mother that her heart may be cheered, and she may not grieve. (Remember) when you killed a man We saved you from anguish; and tested and steeled you (in other ways). Afterwards you sojourned for several years with the people of Midian; then you came up to the measure, 40 I have chosen you for Me. 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 Go, both of you, unto Pharaoh. Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 'O our Lord' both said, 'We fear lest he may be excessive against us or become insolent' 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance." 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 Moses said, "My Lord alone has knowledge of that, recorded in a Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 He it is Who spread the earth for you; and made in it paths for you, and sent down water from the sky, and then through it We brought forth many species of diverse plants. 53 Eat, and graze your cattle; indeed in this are signs for people of intellect. 54
