'Lord, open my breast,' said Moses, 25 and ease my task for me. 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 so that they may understand my speech; 28 and appoint for me, out of my kinsfolk, one who will help me to bear my burden: 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 And let him share my task 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 and remember You much: 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 He said: surely thou art granted thy petition, O Musa! 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 to lace her child in a chest and throw it into the sea which would hurl it towards the shore. Then an enemy of Mine who was also the enemy of the child would pick it up from there. I made you attractive and loveable so that you would be reared before My own eyes. 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 Go, thou and thy brother, with My tokens, and be not faint in remembrance of Me. 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 Verily we! it hath been revealed unto us that the torment will be for him who belieth and turneth away. 48 He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?" 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 He (Pharaoh) asked: 'How was it then, with the former generations' 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a Record. My Lord neither erreth nor forgetteth, 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 Eat, and graze your cattle; indeed in this are signs for people of intellect. 54

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
