He said: O my Lord! Expand my breast for me, 25 And ease for me my task 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 and appoint for me, from my household, someone who will help me bear my burden - 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Increase my strength with him, 31 "And make him share my task: 32 That we may hallow Thee oft. 33 "And remember You much, 34 Surely, Thou art seeing us. 35 He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36 And indeed, another time, already We have shown thee favour, 37 “When We inspired in your mother’s heart whatever was to be inspired.” 38 Saying: Throw him into the ark, and throw it into the river, then the river shall throw it on to the bank, and there an enemy to Me and an enemy to him shall take him. And I endued thee with love from Me that thou mightest be trained according to My will, 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 I chose you for Myself. 41 "Go forth, [then,] thou and thy brother, with My messages, and never tire of remembering Me: 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 “And speak to him courteously, that perhaps he may ponder or have some fear.” 44 They said: "O our Lord, we are really frightened lest he behave insolently with us or become violent." 45 He said; fear not; verily I shall be with you twain: I shall hear and see. 46 "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance! 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 (Firon) said: And who is your Lord, O Musa? 49 He said, “Our Lord is One Who gave everything its proper shape, then showed the path.” 50 He said: Then what is the state of the former generations? 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a book, my Lord errs not, nor does He forget; 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 Eat, [then, of this produce of the soil,] and pasture your cattle [thereon]. In all this, behold, there are messages indeed for those who are endowed with reason: 54
