(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 And make my affair easy to me, 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 that they may understand my speech. 28 And appoint for me a minister from my family - 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 And share my task, 32 that we may abundantly extol Your glory; 33 "And remember You much, 34 Verily, Thou seest all that is within us!" 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 “And indeed We had bestowed upon you a favour one more time.” 37 Recall, when We indicated to your mother through inspiration: 38 "'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye. 39 When thy sister went and said: Shall I show you one who will nurse him? and we restored thee to thy mother that her eyes might be refreshed and might not sorrow. And thou didst kill a man and We delivered thee from great distress, and tried thee with a heavy trial. And thou didst tarry years among the folk of Midian. Then camest thou (hither) by (My) providence, O Moses, 40 I have chosen thee for My service; 41 Go with My signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering Me. 42 go forth, both of you, unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity! 43 "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah." 44 They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress." 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance. 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement shall light upon him who cries lies and turns his back." 48 He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?" 49 (Moses) said: "Our Lord is He who gave everything its natural form and directed it." 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 [It is He] who has made for you the earth as a bed [spread out] and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants. 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
