Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 and make my task easy for me. 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 so that they may understand my speech; 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen me through him 31 And let him share my task 32 that we may abundantly extol Your glory; 33 and remember Thee abundantly. 34 "For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us." 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 And certainly We bestowed on you a favor at another time; 37 when We revealed what was to be made known to your mother, 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 Your sister went to them and said, "May I show you someone who will nurse this child?" We returned you to your mother to make her rejoice and forget her grief. You slew a man and We saved you from trouble. We tried you through various trials. Then you stayed some years with the people of Midian (Shu'ayb and his family) and after that you came back to Egypt as was ordained. 40 for I have chosen thee for Mine Own service. 41 "Go forth, [then,] thou and thy brother, with My messages, and never tire of remembering Me: 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear. 44 The twain said: O our Lord! verily we fear that he may hasten against us or wax exorbitant. 45 He (Allah) said: "Fear not, verily! I am with you both, hearing and seeing. 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 Surely it has been revealed to us that the chastisement will surely come upon him who rejects and turns back. 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a Record. My Lord neither erreth nor forgetteth, 52 Who hath appointed for you the earth as a bed, and hath opened for you therein pathways, and hath sent down from the heaven water, and thereby We have brought forth kinds of plants, various. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
