(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 And make my affair easy to me, 26 "And remove the impediment from my speech, 27 That they may understand my saying. 28 “And appoint for me a viceroy from among my family.” 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Increase my strength with him, 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may hallow Thee oft. 33 "And remember Thee without stint: 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 He said, “O Moosa, you have been granted your prayer.” 36 We have bestowed Our favour on you before this 37 when We revealed Our will to your mother, saying, 38 'Put him in a wooden box and cast it in the river. The river will cast it on the bank. An enemy of Ours, and his, will retrieve it.' We bestowed Our love on you that you may be reared under Our eyes. 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 And I have chosen you for Myself: 41 "Go with your brother. Take My miracles and do not be reluctant in preaching My message. 42 Go ye twain unto Fir'awn, verily he hath waxen exorbitant, 43 And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]." 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 Verily we! it hath been revealed unto us that the torment will be for him who belieth and turneth away. 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright." 50 He then asked, "What do you know about the past generations?" 51 He said, “Their knowledge is with my Lord, (recorded) in a Book; my Lord neither strays nor forgets.” 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
