They will question you about the mountains. Say: 'My Lord will scatter them as ashes 105 and leave them so smoothly levelled 106 wherein thou wilt see no crookedness neither any curving.' 107 On that day they follow the summoner who deceiveth not, and voices are hushed for the Beneficent, and thou hearest but a faint murmur. 108 On that Day no intercession will avail, except from one who has received the sanction of the Merciful and of whose words He approves, 109 He knows what (appears to His creatures as) before or after or behind them: but they shall not compass it with their knowledge. 110 ۞ And faces shall be humbled unto the Living, the Eternal. He will have failed whose burden is of evildoing; 111 but whosoever does deeds of righteousness, being a believer, shall fear neither wrong nor injustice. 112 And this is how We revealed it as an Arabic Qur’an, and in different ways gave promises of punishment, that they may fear or it may create some pondering in their hearts. 113 Supremely exalted is therefore Allah, the King, the Truth, and do not make haste with the Quran before its revelation is made complete to you and say: O my Lord! increase me in knowledge. 114 We made a covenant with Adam, but he forgot and We found in him no constancy. 115
