The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Draws near for mankind their reckoning, while they turn away in heedlessness. 1 There comes not to them a new reminder from their Lord but they hear it while they sport, 2 With their hearts occupied (with evil things) those who do wrong, conceal their private counsels, (saying): "Is this (Muhammad SAW) more than a human being like you? Will you submit to magic while you see it?" 3 The Prophet said: my Lord knoweth the word in the heavens and the earth, and He is the Hearer, the Knower. 4 Nay, they say:"These (revelations of the Quran which are inspired to Muhammad SAW) are mixed up false dreams! Nay, he has invented it! Nay, he is a poet! Let him then bring us an Ayah (sign as a proof) like the ones (Prophets) that were sent before (with signs)!" 5 Not a [single] city which We destroyed believed before them, so will they believe? 6 Before thee, also, the messengers We sent were but men, to whom We granted inspiration: If ye realise this not, ask of those who possess the Message. 7 We did not give them bodies that needed no food, nor were they to live forever. 8 then We made true the promise We gave them and We delivered them, and whomsoever We would; and We destroyed the prodigal. 9 And assuredly We have sent down unto you a Book wherein is admonition for you; will ye not then reflect? 10
