3/4 Hizb 33
< random >
And Nuh, when he cried aforetime, so We answered him, and delivered him and his followers from the great calamity. 76 We helped him against the people who said Our revelations were mere lies. They were a bad people and We drowned them all. 77 Tell of David and Solomon who both passed judgement on the field into which some people's sheep had strayed [and grazed] at night. We bore witness to their judgement. 78 And We explained the case to Sulaiman; and to both We gave the kingdom and knowledge; and subjected the hills to proclaim the Purity along with Dawud, and (also subjected) the birds; and these were Our works. 79 It was We Who taught him the making of coats of mail for your benefit, to guard you from each other's violence: will ye then be grateful? 80 And unto Solomon [We made subservient] the stormy wind, so that it sped at his behest towards the land which We had blessed: for it is We who have knowledge of everything. 81 We subdued the devils who would dive into the sea for him and perform other tasks for Solomon. We kept them in his service. 82 ۞ (Remember) Job when he called to his Lord: "I am afflicted with distress, and You are the most compassionate of all." 83 whereupon We responded unto him and removed all the affliction from which he suffered; and We gave him new offspring, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder unto all who worship Us. 84 AND [remember] Ishmael and Idris and every one who [like them] has pledged himself [unto God]: they all were among those who are patient in adversity, 85 And We admitted them into Our mercy; indeed they are among those who deserve Our proximity. 86 And We bestowed Our favour upon Dhu al-Nun. Recall, when he went forth enraged, thinking We have no power to take him to task. Eventually he cried out in the darkness:" There is no god but You. Glory be to You! I have done wrong." 87 So We answered him, and We delivered him from the distress, and Thus do We deliver the believers. 88 And Zakariyya! recall what time he cried unto his Lord: my Lord! leave me not solitary, though Thou art the best of heirs. 89 So We heard him and gave him John, and cured his wife (of barrenness). These were men who vied in good deeds with one another, and prayed to Us with love and awe, and were meek before Us. 90 (Remember) her who preserved her chastity, into whom We breathed a new life from Us, and made her and her son a token for mankind. 91 Indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so worship Me. 92 People have divided themselves into many sects, but all will return to Us. 93
