In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ People, have fear of your Lord; the quake (of the physical realm) at the Hour of Doom will be terribly violent. 1 The Day ye shall see it, every mother giving suck shall forget her suckling-babe, and every pregnant female shall drop her load (unformed): thou shalt see mankind as in a drunken riot, yet not drunk: but dreadful will be the Wrath of Allah. 2 And among people are some who argue concerning Allah without knowing, and blindly follow every rebellious devil. 3 against whom it is written down that whosoever takes him for a guide, he guides astray, and leads him to the punishment of the Blaze. 4 O people! If you are in doubt about the Resurrection, remember that We first created you from dust, then from a sperm drop, then from clotted blood, then a lump of flesh, both shaped and unshaped, so that We might manifest to you [Our power]. We cause what We will to stay in the womb for an appointed time, then We bring you forth as infants and then We cause you to grow and reach full growth. Then, some of you will pass away early in life, while some of you will reach extreme old age in which they will know nothing of what they once knew. You see the earth, dead and barren, but no sooner do We send down rain upon it than it begins to stir and swell, and produce every kind of luxuriant vegetation: 5 This is because Allah is the Truth and because He gives life to the dead and because He has power over all things 6 The Last Hour is bound to come. There is no doubt about it. God will raise up those who are in their graves. 7 And among men is he who disputes about Allah, without knowledge or guidance, or a Book giving light (from Allah), 8 scornfully turning aside [from the truth] so as to lead [others] astray from the path of God. Disgrace [of the spirit] is in store for him in this world; and on the Day of Resurrection We shall make him taste suffering through fire; 9 That is on account of what you had done in the past; yet God is not unjust to His creatures. 10
