Pilgrimage (Al-Hajj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ O YOU PEOPLE, fear your Lord. The great upheaval of the Hour will indeed be terrible. 1 The Day you shall see it, every nursing mother will forget her nursling, and every pregnant one will drop her load, and you shall see mankind as in a drunken state, yet they will not be drunken, but severe will be the Torment of Allah. 2 And among men there is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge and follows every rebellious Shaitan; 3 (The devil) Upon whom is decreed that whoever befriends him, he will certainly mislead him and show him the path to hell. 4 O people! if you are in doubt about the raising, then surely We created you from dust, then from a small seed, then from a clot, then from a lump of flesh, complete in make and incomplete, that We may make clear to you; and We cause what We please to stay in the wombs till an appointed time, then We bring you forth as babies, then that you may attain your maturity; and of you is he who is caused to die, and of you is he who is brought back to the worst part of life, so that after having knowledge he does not know anything; and you see the earth sterile land, but when We send down on it the water, it stirs and swells and brings forth of every kind a beautiful herbage. 5 That, because Allah! He is The Truth, and He quickeneth the dead, and verily He is over everything Potent. 6 And because the Hour will come, there is no doubt thereof; and because Allah will raise those who are in the graves. 7 Some people argue about God without knowledge, guidance, and an enlightening Book. 8 Turning their backs that they may lead away from the path of God. For such there is disgrace in the world, and on the Day of Judgement We shall make them taste the torment of burning. 9 [and he shall be told:] "This is an outcome of what thine own hands have wrought - for, never does God do the least wrong to His creatures!" 10
