The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Except from their wives or the legal bondwomen that they possess, for then there is no blame upon them. 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 those who are true to their trust, 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators. 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 We have indeed fashioned above you seven paths. Never were We unaware of the task of creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. 20 There are lessons for you in the cattle from whose bellies We give you milk to drink, and there are other advantages that you derive from them, and some of them you eat; 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
