The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 pay their religious tax 4 Who guard their sex 5 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 and who preserve their trusts and their covenant 8 And those who keep a guard on their prayers; 9 and who are steadfast in their prayer. 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 And then, behold! after all this, you are destined to die; 15 Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. 16 We have indeed fashioned above you seven paths. Never were We unaware of the task of creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat. 19 And a tree that grows out of Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
