The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden). 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 who strictly guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives or the legal bondwomen that they possess, for then there is no blame upon them. 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 Such are the inheritors 10 These are the heirs of Paradise wherein they will live forever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 And then, behold! after all this, you are destined to die; 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 And assuredly We created above you seven paths, and of the creation We have not been neglectful. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 Then We produced for you therewith gardens of palms and vines wherein are many fruits for you, and of them you eat, 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
