The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 to their promise, 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide. 11 We created man from an essence of clay, 12 then We set him, a drop, in a receptacle secure, 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 Then lo! after that ye surely die. 15 Then verily on the Day of Judgment ye shall be raised up. 16 We have indeed fashioned above you seven paths. Never were We unaware of the task of creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 Then We produced for you therewith gardens of palms and vines wherein are many fruits for you, and of them you eat, 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
