The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 Those who humble themselves in their prayers; 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 And those who of their prayers are observant. 9 These will be the heirs, 10 that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then lo! after that ye surely die. 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 And We created above you seven ways, and We were not heedless of creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure and lodged it in the earth, but if We please, We have the power to take it away, 18 And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. 19 Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
