The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 those who humble themselves in their prayer, 2 those who turn away from all that is frivolous; 3 who observe Zakah; 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 They are the inheritors. 10 that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 Thereafter We made him of a sperm in a receptacle safe. 13 Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators. 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And We send down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and most surely We are able to carry it away. 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
