The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 those who humble themselves in their prayer, 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 who observe Zakah; 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 And those who strictly guard their (five compulsory congregational) Salawat (prayers) (at their fixed stated hours). 9 These will be the heirs, 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 And assuredly We created man of an extract of clay. 12 Thereafter We made him of a sperm in a receptacle safe. 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 And on them and on the ships you are borne. 22
