The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 those who humble themselves in their prayer, 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 Who abstain from sex, 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 and who guard their Prayers. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 After that, at length ye will die 15 and then, behold! you shall be raised from the dead on Resurrection Day. 16 And assuredly We created above you seven paths, and of the creation We have not been neglectful. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 Then through water We caused gardens of date-palms and vines to grow for you wherein you have an abundance of delicious fruits and from them you derive your livelihood. 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
