The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 who are submissive to God in their prayers, 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 who observe Zakah; 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors - 7 And who are shepherds of their pledge and their covenant, 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 These will be the heirs, 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 And We also produced the tree which springs forth from Mount Sinai, containing oil and sauce for those that eat. 20 In the cattle, too, is a lesson for you. We let you drink of that which is in their bellies, and there are many benefits in them for you, and you eat of them, 21 and you ride on them as you do in ships. 22
