The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 who give charity, 4 who strictly guard their private parts 5 except with their spouses and slave-girls. The practice of carnal relations is lawful with them. 6 So whoever desires more than these two – they are crossing the limits. 7 and who preserve their trusts and their covenant 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 These are the heirs of Paradise wherein they will live forever. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 Then after that you will most surely die. 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 Then We produced for you therewith gardens of palms and vines wherein are many fruits for you, and of them you eat, 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
