“O Noble Messengers, eat good clean things, and do good deeds; I know all that you do.” 51 And verily this religion of yours is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 The people divided themselves into many sects, each with their own book and each happy with whatever they had. 53 But leave them alone, lost in their ignorance, until a [future] time. 54 Do they fancy that Our continuing to give them wealth and children (means) that 55 We provide them with the means of competing with each other in virtuous deeds, but they do not realize this. 56 Surely those who tremble in fear of their Lord 57 And those who believe in the communications of their Lord, 58 Who do not associate any one with their Lord, 59 And those who give that (their charity) which they give (and also do other good deeds) with their hearts full of fear (whether their alms and charities, etc., have been accepted or not), because they are sure to return to their Lord (for reckoning). 60 those, hasten in good works, outracing to them. 61 And We do not lay on any soul a burden except to the extent of its ability, and with Us is a book which speaks the truth, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. 62 Nay, their hearts are in overwhelming ignorance with respect to it and they have besides this other deeds which they do. 63 But then when We seize the affluent among them, they will cry out for help. 64 “Do not implore this day; you will not be helped by Us.” 65 For when My revelations were read out to you, you turned back on your heels and fled 66 waxing proud against it, talking foolish talk by night.' 67 Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers? 68 Or is it that they were unaware of their Messenger and were therefore repelled by him for he was a stranger to them? 69 Or do they say: There is madness in him? Nay! he has brought them the truth, and most of them are averse from the truth. 70 Had truth been subject to their whims the heavens and the earth and all those within them would have been depraved. In fact We had sent them their reminder, but they turned away from good advice. 71 Or is it that you ask them a recompense? But the recompense of your Lord is best, and He is the best of those who provide sustenance. 72 You are surely calling them to the right path. 73 but those who do not believe in the Hereafter are ever prone to deviate from the Right Way. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed their afflictions, they would still persist in their insolence, blindly wandering. 75 And We had gripped them with suffering [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, [and will continue thus] 76 until, when We open against them a door of terrible chastisement, lo, they are sore confounded at it. 77
