O apostles! eat of the good things and do good; surely I know what you do. 51 And verily this religion of yours is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 Yet they have split their affairs between themselves into sects, each rejoicing in what it has. 53 So leave them immersed in their heedlessness till an appointed time. 54 Do they think that by what We aid them with of wealth and children, 55 We are hastening them on to good things? Aye! they perceive not. 56 Lo! those who go in awe for fear of their Lord. 57 and those who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 And those who do not ascribe any partner to their Lord – 59 And those who give whatsoever they give, while their hearts are anxious that unto their Lord they are to be returners. 60 These hasten to good things and they are foremost in (attaining) them. 61 We charge not any soul save to its capacity, and with Us is a Book speaking truth, and they shall not be wronged. 62 In fact, the hearts of the unbelievers are in the dark because of their ignorance of real virtue; they act against it. 63 Till when We grasp their luxurious ones with the punishment, behold! they supplicate. 64 Invoke not loudly this day! Certainly, you shall not be helped by Us. 65 Our revelations had certainly been recited to you, but you turned your backs to them 66 Insolently, treating them like tales told at night." 67 Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers? 68 Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging? 69 Or, say they: in him is madness? O Aye he brought them the truth, and most of them to the truth are averse. 70 And had the Truth followed their desires, then indeed the heavens and the earth and all those who are in them would be destroyed; in fact We brought to them a thing in which lay their repute, so they are turned away from their own repute. 71 Or do you ask of them any tribute? In that case the tribute of your Lord is better, for He is the best of providers. 72 And verily, thou callest them onto a straight way 73 And verily, those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed deviating far astray from the Path (true religion Islamic Monotheism). 74 ۞ If We took compassion on them and removed the affliction they are in, they would only wander lost in confusion. 75 And We had gripped them with suffering [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, [and will continue thus] 76 when We opened on them a gate of severe punishment, they utterly despaired. 77
