Messengers, eat what is wholesome and do good deeds: I am well aware of what you do. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 But they cut off their religion among themselves into sects, each part rejoicing in that which is with them. 53 But leave them in their confused ignorance for a time. 54 Deem they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We enlarge them. 55 We vie in good works for them? Nay, but they are not aware. 56 Indeed, they who are apprehensive from fear of their Lord 57 And those who believe in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, 58 And those who join not anyone (in worship) as partners with their Lord; 59 And those who give whatsoever they give, while their hearts are anxious that unto their Lord they are to be returners. 60 These are hastening on to good, and they are therein foremost. 61 And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are in ignorance of this (Koran); and they have deeds besides that which they are doing. 63 Till when We grasp their luxurious ones with the punishment, behold! they supplicate. 64 Invoke not loudly this day! Certainly, you shall not be helped by Us. 65 My Signs were rehearsed to you and you turned back on your heels and took to flight, 66 In arrogance regarding it, conversing by night, speaking evil. 67 Have they, then, never tried to understand this word [of God]? Or has there [now] come to them something that never came to their forefathers of old? 68 Or know they not their messenger, and so reject him? 69 Or say they: There is a madness in him? Nay, but he bringeth them the Truth; and most of them are haters of the Truth. 70 And had the Truth followed their desires, then indeed the heavens and the earth and all those who are in them would be destroyed; in fact We brought to them a thing in which lay their repute, so they are turned away from their own repute. 71 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask them for payment? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers. 72 and, most surely, you are calling them to a straight path. 73 but, behold, those who will not believe in the life to come are bound to deviate from that way. 74 ۞ If We took compassion on them and removed the affliction they are in, they would only wander lost in confusion. 75 And indeed We grasped them with punishment, so neither did they submit themselves to their Lord, nor do they cry humbly. 76 So that when at last We open up the gate of severe punishment on them they will be overwhelmed with despair. 77
