Messengers, eat what is wholesome and do good deeds: I am well aware of what you do. 51 And verily this religion of yours is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But people have cut off their affair (of unity), between them, into sects: each party rejoices in that which is with itself. 53 But leave them in their confused ignorance for a time. 54 Do they imagine that the wealth and children We have provided 55 We hasten unto them with good things (in this worldly life so that they will have no share of good things in the Hereafter)? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Verily, [only] they who stand in reverent awe of their Sustainer, 57 And those who believe in the signs of their Lord – 58 And those who with their Lord associate not anyone. 59 And those who give what they give (in alms) while their hearts are full of fear that to their Lord they must return, 60 These hasten to good things and they are foremost in (attaining) them. 61 We do not impose on any soul what is beyond its capacity. We have the Book which speaks the truth and no injustice will be done to it. 62 Nay, their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this; and their deeds too vary from the way (mentioned above). They will persist in these deeds 63 Until when We lay hold of the luxuriant ones of them with the torment, and lo! then they are imploring! 64 Supplicate not this day! Assuredly ye will not be helped by Us. 65 My communications were indeed recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels, 66 and arrogantly mocked and reviled them. 67 Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers? 68 Or did they not recognise their Messenger and so denied him? 69 Do they say he is mad! No, he came to them with the truth, but most of them hate the truth. 70 If the Truth had been in accord with their desires, truly the heavens and the earth, and all beings therein would have been in confusion and corruption! Nay, We have sent them their admonition, but they turn away from their admonition. 71 Or is it that you ask them a recompense? But the recompense of your Lord is best, and He is the best of those who provide sustenance. 72 And verily, thou callest them onto a straight way 73 But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ And if We show mercy to them and remove the distress they have, they would persist in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on. 75 We already seized them with the chastisement, yet they abased not themselves to their Lord nor were they humble; 76 Until We open on them a gate leading to a severe Punishment: then Lo! they will be plunged in despair therein! 77
