1/2 Hizb 35
< random >
O apostles! eat of the good things and do good; surely I know what you do. 51 Surely this community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord; so fear Me.' 52 But they cut off their religion among themselves into sects, each part rejoicing in that which is with them. 53 So leave them in their error for a time. 54 Do they think that We enlarge them in wealth and children, 55 We are hastening them on to good things? Aye! they perceive not. 56 Verily those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 and believe in His messages 58 And those who do not associate (aught) with their Lord, 59 And those who give what they give (in alms) while their hearts are full of fear that to their Lord they must return, 60 those vie in good works, outracing to them. 61 We do not burden a soul beyond capacity, for We have a record that tells the truth. No wrong will be done to any one. 62 NAY, [as for those who have torn asunder the unity of faith] - their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this! But apart from that [breach of unity] they have [on their conscience even worse] deeds; and they will [continue to] commit them 63 But then when We seize the affluent among them, they will cry out for help. 64 Do not cry out today. Indeed, by Us you will not be helped. 65 My revelations were recited unto you, but ye used to turn back on your heels, 66 In pride (they Quraish pagans and polytheists of Makkah used to feel proud that they are the dwellers of Makkah sanctuary Haram), talking evil about it (the Quran) by night. 67 Have they not pondered the matter, or did that come to them, which did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or is it that they did not recognise their Noble Messenger, therefore they consider him alien? 69 Do they say he is possessed? Rather he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse to the truth. 70 And if the Truth had followed their desires, verily the heavens and the earth and whosoever is therein had been corrupted. Nay, We have brought them their Reminder, but from their Reminder they now turn away. 71 Are you asking them for something? What Allah has given you is the best. He is the Best of providers. 72 and, most surely, you are calling them to a straight path. 73 But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ And if We show mercy to them and remove the distress they have, they would persist in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on. 75 We already seized them with the chastisement, yet they abased not themselves to their Lord nor were they humble; 76 So that when at last We open up the gate of severe punishment on them they will be overwhelmed with despair. 77
