O YOU APOSTLES! Partake of the good things of life, and do righteous deeds: verily, I have full knowledge of all that you do. 51 And verily this religion of yours is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing. 53 So leave them in their intoxication till a time. 54 Do they think that We enlarge them in wealth and children, 55 Are quickly giving them goodness? In fact, they do not know. 56 Lo! those who go in awe for fear of their Lord. 57 And those who in the signs of their Lord do believe. 58 And those who join not anyone (in worship) as partners with their Lord; 59 And those who dispense their charity with their hearts full of fear, because they will return to their Lord;- 60 It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein. 61 And we task not any soul beyond its scope, and with Us is a Record which speaketh the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 In fact, the hearts of the unbelievers are in the dark because of their ignorance of real virtue; they act against it. 63 But when We seize with the punishment those of them that live in ease, they groan. 64 Implore not today; verily ye from Us are not to be succoured. 65 Time and again were My messages conveyed unto you, but [every time] you would turn about on your heels 66 In arrogance; talking nonsense about the Quran, and left him like one telling fables by night. 67 Have they not pondered over the Word (of Allah, i.e. what is sent down to the Prophet SAW), or has there come to them what had not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or is it that they did not recognize their Messenger (Muhammad SAW) so they deny him? 69 Do they say he is possessed? Rather he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse to the truth. 70 Were the Truth to follow their desires, the order of the heavens and the earth and those who dwell in them would have been ruined. Nay, the fact is that We have brought to them their own remembrance; and yet it is from their own remembrance that they are turning away. 71 (Do they disbelieve because) you asked them for payment? The reward that you will receive from your Lord is the best. He is the best Provider. 72 And most surely you invite them to a right way. 73 but, behold, those who will not believe in the life to come are bound to deviate from that way. 74 ۞ Were We to be merciful to them and remove from them their present afflictions, they would persist in their transgression, blindly wandering on. 75 And already We overtook them with chastisement, but they were not submissive to their Lord, nor do they humble themselves. 76 Until, when We open for them the gate of severe punishment, then lo! They will be plunged into destruction with deep regrets, sorrows and in despair. 77
