'O Messengers, eat of the good things and do righteousness; surely I know the things you do. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 But they split in their affair between them into sects, each party rejoicing in what is with them. 53 Leave them in their perplexity for a time. 54 Do they think that We are helping them by giving them children and property? 55 have no other purpose except to help them in acquiring material benefits? No indeed. But they do not understand. 56 Surely those who live in awe of their Lord, 57 And those who believe in the signs of their Lord – 58 And those who ascribe not partners unto their Lord, 59 And those who give what they give (in alms) while their hearts are full of fear that to their Lord they must return, 60 It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein. 61 And we task not any soul beyond its scope, and with Us is a Record which speaketh the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 On the contrary, their hearts are in neglect of this and their works are different than those of the believers, the works that they are doing. 63 Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. 64 Cry not for succor this day; surely you shall not be given help from Us. 65 Indeed My Verses used to be recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels (denying them, and with hatred to listen to them). 66 and arrogantly mocked and reviled them. 67 Did they never ponder over this Word (of God)? Or has he (to wit, the Messenger) brought something the like of which did not come to their forefathers of yore? 68 Or is it that they did not recognize their Messenger (Muhammad SAW) so they deny him? 69 Or do they say, "He is possessed"? Nay, he has brought them the Truth, but most of them hate the Truth. 70 And if the truth had been in accordance with their desires, verily, the heavens and the earth, and whosoever is therein would have been corrupted! Nay, We have brought them their reminder, but they turn away from their reminder. 71 Are you asking them for something? What Allah has given you is the best. He is the Best of providers. 72 And indeed, you invite them to a straight path. 73 And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are deviating from that Way. 74 ۞ And though We have mercy on them We may remove whatsoever of hurt is with them, surely they would persist in their exorbitance, wandering perplexed. 75 We seized them with the punishment, but they did not surrender to their Lord, nor will they humble themselves 76 until, when We open against them a door of terrible chastisement, lo, they are sore confounded at it. 77
