O ye messengers! enjoy (all) things good and pure, and work righteousness: for I am well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. 51 “And indeed this religion of yours is one religion only and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me.” 52 But they (who claim to follow you) have torn their unity wide asunder, piece by piece, each group delighting in [but] what they themselves possess [by way of tenets]. 53 So leave them to their ignorance for a time. 54 Do they think that We enlarge them in wealth and children, 55 We are busy lavishing on them all kinds of good? Nay, they do not perceive the reality of the matter. 56 Only those who are, out of fear of Him, humble before their Lord, 57 and who believe in their Sustainer's messages, 58 And those who ascribe not partners unto their Lord, 59 who give, whatever they give in charity, with their hearts trembling at the thought that they are destined to return to their Lord; 60 These race for the good things, and they shall win them in the race. 61 And We task not any soul except according to its capacity, and with Us is a book speaking with truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 On the contrary, their hearts are in neglect of this and their works are different than those of the believers, the works that they are doing. 63 Till when We grasp their luxurious ones with the punishment, behold! they supplicate. 64 Do not cry out for help this day, for surely you shall not be helped by Us. 65 For when My revelations were read out to you, you turned back on your heels and fled 66 behaving arrogantly, and making fun, and talking nonsense (about the Book in your nightly chats)." 67 Have they not pondered over the word of God? Has something come to them that did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging? 69 Or do they say that there is madness in him? Nay, he has brought them the Truth and it is the Truth that most of them disdain. 70 Had truth been subject to their whims the heavens and the earth and all those within them would have been depraved. In fact We had sent them their reminder, but they turned away from good advice. 71 Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask them for some wages? But the recompense of your Lord is better, and He is the Best of those who give sustenance. 72 Indeed you are calling them to a Straight Path, 73 And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are from the path deviating. 74 ۞ Though We had mercy on them and relieved them of the harm afflicting them, they still would wander blindly on in their contumacy. 75 And We had gripped them with suffering [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, [and will continue thus] 76 Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair. 77
