O ye messengers! enjoy (all) things good and pure, and work righteousness: for I am well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. 51 This community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord; so hold Me alone in fear. 52 Then they cut their affair among them in regard to the Scriptures; each band in that which is with them rejoicing. 53 Wherefore leave thou them in their bewilderment for a season. 54 Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons, 55 We are busy lavishing on them all kinds of good? Nay, they do not perceive the reality of the matter. 56 Only those who are, out of fear of Him, humble before their Lord, 57 who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 who consider nothing equal to their Lord, 59 And those who give what they give (in alms) while their hearts are full of fear that to their Lord they must return, 60 These race for the good things, and they shall win them in the race. 61 And We task not any soul except according to its capacity, and with Us is a book speaking with truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 Aye! their hearts are in bewilderment in respect thereof, and they have works beside that, of which they are workers. 63 But then when We seize the affluent among them, they will cry out for help. 64 (We shall say): 'Do not groan today, surely you shall receive no help from Us' 65 Indeed My Verses used to be recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels (denying them, and with hatred to listen to them). 66 In arrogance; talking nonsense about the Quran, and left him like one telling fables by night. 67 Did they never ponder over this Word (of God)? Or has he (to wit, the Messenger) brought something the like of which did not come to their forefathers of yore? 68 Or is it, perchance, that they have not recognized their Apostle, and so they disavow him? 69 Do they say he is mad! No, he came to them with the truth, but most of them hate the truth. 70 Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and all that is in them would have been destroyed. We sent them the Quran but they ignored it. 71 Or is it that you ask them a recompense? But the recompense of your Lord is best, and He is the best of those who provide sustenance. 72 You are surely calling them to the right path. 73 and surely they that believe not in the world to come are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering in distraction to and fro. 75 And indeed We grasped them with punishment, so neither did they submit themselves to their Lord, nor do they cry humbly. 76 Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair. 77
