Say, "Lord, if you will afflict them with punishment, 93 Then do not, O Lord, put me among the sinners." 94 We have the Power to strike them with torment before your very eyes. 95 Repel evil with what is best, We are well aware of the things they say, 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from evil suggestions of the satans. 97 and I seek refuge with Thee, O my Sustainer, lest they come near unto me!" 98 (They shall persist in their deeds) until when death comes to anyone of them he will say: "My Lord, send me back to the world 99 “Perhaps I may do some good deeds in what I have left behind”; this is just a word that he utters from his mouth; and confronting them is a barrier until the day in which they will be raised. 100 For when the Trumpet is blown, that day there shall be no kinship any more between them, neither will they question one another. 101 Then, those whose scales (of good deeds) are heavy, - these, they are the successful. 102 But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide. 103 The fire lashes their faces and therein are shriveled lips. 104 (We shall say): 'Were My verses not recited to you, and did you not belie them' 105 They will reply, "Lord, our hard-heartedness overcame us and we went astray. 106 "Our Lord! bring us out of this: if ever we return (to Evil), then shall we be wrong-doers indeed!" 107 He shall say: Go away into it and speak not to Me; 108 Verily there was a party of My bondmen who said: our Lord! we have believed, wherefore forgive us and have mercy upon us, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones! 109 But you took them for a laughingstock, so much so that they made you forget My Remembrance while you used to laugh at them! 110 Lo! I have rewarded them this day forasmuch as they were steadfast in that they, even they, are the triumphant. 111 He will say: "What number of years did ye stay on earth?" 112 They will say, "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask those who have kept count." 113 He will say: "You stayed there only a moment, if you knew. 114 Deem ye that We have created you in vain and that unto Us ye are not to be returned? 115 So, exalted be Allah, the True King! There is no god but He, the Lord of the Great Throne. 116 And whoever invokes with Allah another god-- he has no proof of this-- his reckoning is only with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not be successful. 117 And say: O my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones. 118
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
