Say: My Lord! If Thou shouldst show me that which they are promised. 93 O my Lord, put me not among the people of the evildoers.' 94 We have the Power to strike them with torment before your very eyes. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best Aware of that which they allege. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from evil suggestions of the satans. 97 I seek refuge with You, Lord, lest they should come near me." 98 When death comes to any of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 That I might do righteousness in that which I left behind." No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected. 100 So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another. 101 It will be an Hour when those whose scales are heavy, they alone will attain success; 102 and those whose scales are light, those will be the ones who will have courted loss. They will abide in Hell. 103 The Fire shall scorch their faces, exposing their jaws. 104 "Were not My Signs rehearsed to you, and ye did but treat them as falsehood?" 105 They will say: "O Lord, our misery overwhelmed us, so we remained a people astray. 106 Our Lord! Take us out of this. Then if we revert (to evil-doing) we shall indeed be wrongdoers." 107 'Slink you into it,' He shall say, 'and do not speak to Me. 108 Surely there was a party of My servants who said: O our Lord! we believe, so do Thou forgive us and have mercy on us, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones. 109 Then ye took them mockingly, so that they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, and at them ye were wont to laugh. 110 Now today I have recompensed them for their patient endurance; they are the triumphant.' 111 He will say: how long tarried ye on the earth in number of year? 112 They will say: We tarried by a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count! 113 He (Allah) will say: "You stayed not but a little, if you had only known! 114 So do you think that We have created you needlessly, and that you do not have to return to Us? 115 So Most Supreme is Allah, the True King; there is no God except Him; Lord of the Throne of Honour. 116 Whoever worships another god apart from God, for which he holds no proof, will have to account for it before his Lord. Verily the unbelievers will not prosper. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of the merciful' 118
