Say, "Lord, if you will afflict them with punishment, 93 "My Lord! Then (save me from Your Punishment), and put me not amongst the people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing)." 94 Surely We are able to show you what We warn them against. 95 Repel evil with that which is best: We are well acquainted with the things they say. 96 And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, 97 I seek refuge in You lest they come to me." 98 Until, when death comes to one* of them, he says, “O my Lord, send me back!” (The disbelievers) 99 so that I may do good works in the world I have left behind." Never! It is indeed but a meaningless word that he utters. A barrier shall stand behind such people till the Day they are raised up again. 100 And then no sooner the Trumpet is blown than there will remain no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask one another. 101 Then, those whose scales (of good deeds) are heavy, - these, they are the successful. 102 But those whose scales are lighter will perish and abide in Hell for ever. 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they therein shall be in severe affliction. 104 [And God will say:] "Were not My messages conveyed unto you, and were you [not] wont to give them the lie?" 105 They will say: "O Lord, our misery overwhelmed us, so we remained a people astray. 106 Lord, deliver us from Hell. Then, if we revert again, we shall definitely be wrongdoers." 107 God will say, "Stay there and do not speak to Me. 108 Verily! There was a party of My slaves, who used to say: "Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!" 109 But ye chose them for a laughing-stock until they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, while ye laughed at them. 110 I have rewarded them this day for they were constant, and they have come to attainment." 111 [And] He will ask [the doomed]: "What number of years have you spent on earth?" 112 They will reply: 'A day, or part of a day; ask those who have kept count' 113 He will say: 'You have tarried a little, did you know? 114 What! did you then think that We had created you in vain and that you shall not be returned to Us? 115 So, exalted be Allah, the True King! There is no god but He, the Lord of the Great Throne. 116 Whosoever calls upon another god, other than Allah, having no proof his reckoning will be with his Lord. The unbelievers shall never prosper. 117 And (O Muhammad) say: My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for Thou art Best of all who show mercy. 118
