Pray, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, if You should bring the scourge of which they had been warned in my presence, 93 O my Lord, put me not among the people of the evildoers.' 94 And indeed, We are able to show you what We have promised them. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best Aware of that which they allege. 96 Say, "Lord, I seek your protection against the strong temptations of the devils. 97 And I seek refuge in Thee! O my Lord! from their presence. 98 (In Falsehood will they be) Until, when death comes to one of them, he says: "O my Lord! send me back (to life),- 99 haply I shall do righteousness in that I forsook.' Nay, it is but a word he speaks; and there; behind them, is a barrier until the day that they shall be raised up. 100 So when the trumpet is blown, there shall be no ties of relationship between them on that day, nor shall they ask of each other. 101 Those whose scales are heavy shall prosper, 102 but if it weighs less, one will be lost forever in hell. 103 The Fire will burn their faces, and they will therein grin, with their lips displaced. 104 “Were not My verses recited to you, so you used to deny them?” 105 They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray! 106 Lord, take us out of this and if we sin again, we shall certainly be unjust". 107 Allah will say: "Away from Me; stay where you are and do not address Me. 108 Verily! There was a party of My slaves, who used to say: "Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!" 109 But you took them in mockery to the point that they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them. 110 Today I shall recompense them for their patience, for it is they that have won. 111 He shall say, 'How long have you tarried in the earth, by number of years?' 112 They will say: We tarried by a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count! 113 He shall say, 'You have tarried but a little, did you know. 114 Did you think that We had created you for a playful purpose and that you were not to return to Us?" 115 So Most Supreme is Allah, the True King; there is no God except Him; Lord of the Throne of Honour. 116 And whosoever calleth, along with Allah, unto god, of whom he hath no warranty, then his reckoning is only with his Lord; verily thrive will not the infidels. 117 Say, "Lord, forgive us and have mercy. You are the best of those who show mercy." 118
True are the words of God the Almighty.
