Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 My Lord! then place me not among the wrong-doing people. 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 Repel evil with the best deeds; We well know the matters that they fabricate. 96 And say "O my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee from the suggestions of the Evil Ones. 97 I even seek Your refuge, my Lord, lest they should approach me." 98 [For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 haply I shall do righteousness in that I forsook.' Nay, it is but a word he speaks; and there; behind them, is a barrier until the day that they shall be raised up. 100 And then no sooner the Trumpet is blown than there will remain no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask one another. 101 And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful. 102 But those whose scales weigh light will have ruined their souls; in Hell will they abide. 103 The Fire will scorch their faces and they will abide therein with their faces distorted. 104 Were not My messages recited to you and did you not reject them? 105 They will exclaim: "O our Sustainer! Our bad luck has overwhelmed us, and so we went astray! 106 O our Sustainer! Cause us to come out of this [suffering] - and then, if ever We revert [to sinning,] may we truly be [deemed] evildoers!" 107 He shall say: slink away there unto, and speak not unto Me. 108 "Indeed there was a group among My bondmen who said, 'Our Lord! We have accepted faith, therefore forgive us and have mercy on us, and You are the Best Among The Merciful.' ” 109 you made a laughingstock of them and your hostility to them caused you to forget Me, and you simply kept laughing. 110 Lo! I have rewarded them this Day for their steadfastness, so that they, and they alone, are triumphant." 111 He will say, “How long did you stay on earth, counting by the number of years? 112 They will say: We tarried by a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count! 113 He will say: "Ye stayed not but a little,- if ye had only known! 114 Deemed ye then that We had created you for naught, and that ye would not be returned unto Us? 115 Then, exalted be God, the true King, there is no deity except Him, the Lord of the Glorious Throne. 116 And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed. 117 And (O Muhammad) say: My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for Thou art Best of all who show mercy. 118
