Pray, "Lord, if you would show me that [the punishment] of which they have been warned, 93 My Lord! then place me not among the wrong-doing people. 94 And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned. 95 [But whatever they may say or do,] repel the evil [which they commit] with something that is better: We are fully aware of what they attribute [to Us]. 96 and say, "My Lord, I seek refuge with You from the prompting of the devils. 97 I seek refuge with You, Lord, lest they should come near me." 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 That I may do right in that which I have left behind! But nay! It is but a word that he speaketh; and behind them is a barrier until the day when they are raised. 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another! 101 And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful. 102 and those whose scales are light, those will be the ones who will have courted loss. They will abide in Hell. 103 The Fire will burn their faces, and they will therein grin, with their lips displaced. 104 "Were not My Signs rehearsed to you, and ye did but treat them as falsehood?" 105 They shall say, 'Our Lord, our adversity prevailed over us; we were an erring people. 106 Lord, take us out of this and if we sin again, we shall certainly be unjust". 107 He (Allah) will say: "Remain you in it with ignominy! And speak you not to Me!" 108 Surely there was a party of My servants who said: O our Lord! we believe, so do Thou forgive us and have mercy on us, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones. 109 But you made a laughing stock of them to the point where it made you forget My remembrance; and you went on laughing at them. 110 "I have rewarded them this Day for their patience and constancy: they are indeed the ones that have achieved Bliss..." 111 He shall say, 'How long have you tarried in the earth, by number of years?' 112 They will say: we tarried a day or part of a day; ask those who keep count. 113 He shall say, 'You have tarried but a little, did you know. 114 Deem ye that We have created you in vain and that unto Us ye are not to be returned? 115 God is the most exalted King and the Supreme Truth. He is the only God and the Lord of the Gracious Throne. 116 And the one who worships any other God along with Allah – of which he does not have any proof – his account is with his Lord; indeed there is no salvation for the disbelievers. 117 Say: "My Lord, forgive and have mercy. You are the best of the merciful." 118
