Al-Mu' minoon 6 of 6
Pray, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, if You should bring the scourge of which they had been warned in my presence, 93 then do not include me, my Lord, among these wrong-doing people." 94 Assuredly, We are able to show thee that We promise them. 95 Respond to the injustice (done to you) with the better deed. We know best what they attribute to God. 96 And say: "O my Sustainer! I seek refuge with Thee from the promptings of all evil impulses; 97 “And my Lord, (I seek) Your refuge from their coming to me.” 98 Until when death overtakes one of them, he says: Send me back, my Lord, send me back; 99 "So that I may do good in that which I have left behind!" No! It is but a word that he speaks, and behind them is Barzakh (a barrier) until the Day when they will be resurrected. 100 So when the trumpet is blown, there shall be no ties of relationship between them on that day, nor shall they ask of each other. 101 Then he whose scales are heavy -- they are the prosperers, 102 But those whose scales are lighter will perish and abide in Hell for ever. 103 The Fire will burn their faces, and therein they will grin, with displaced lips (disfigured). 104 Were not My messages recited to you and did you not reject them? 105 'Lord' they will reply, 'adversity prevailed over us and we were erring. 106 O our Lord! take us forth from it; then if we return, we shall be wrong-doers indeed. 107 'Slink you into it,' He shall say, 'and do not speak to Me. 108 "Behold, there were among My servants such as would pray, 'O our Sustainer! We have come to believe [in Thee]; forgive, then, our sins and bestow Thy mercy on us: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!' 109 But you took them for laughingstock, mocking at them, until they caused you to forget My remembrance. 110 Now today I have recompensed them for their patient endurance; they are the triumphant.' 111 He shall say, 'How long have you tarried in the earth, by number of years?' 112 They will say: "A day or less than a day. Ask the enumerators of numbers." 113 He will say, “You stayed but only a little, if you knew.” 114 Did you think that We had created you only for play, and that you would never be returned to Us' 115 Then, exalted be God, the true King, there is no deity except Him, the Lord of the Glorious Throne. 116 He, who invokes another deity along with God, a deity of whose divinity he has no proof, will be brought to account by his Lord. Certainly, those who deny the truth shall never prosper. 117 And say, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful." 118
True are the words of God the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
