Say: My Lord! If Thou shouldst show me that which they are promised. 93 Then do not, O Lord, put me among the sinners." 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 Repel evil with the best deeds; We well know the matters that they fabricate. 96 And say: My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from suggestions of the evil ones, 97 O my Lord, I seek refuge in You lest they attend me' 98 Until, when death comes to one* of them, he says, “O my Lord, send me back!” (The disbelievers) 99 that I should do righteousness in that I forsook' No! It is only a word which he will speak. Behind them there shall stand a barrier till the Day that they shall be resurrected. 100 For when the Trumpet is blown, that day there shall be no kinship any more between them, neither will they question one another. 101 Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,- they will attain salvation: 102 And those whose scales are light are those who lose their souls, in hell abiding. 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they therein shall be in severe affliction. 104 'What, were My signs not recited to you, and you cried them lies?' 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our misfortune prevailed over us. We were indeed an erring people. 106 O our Lord! Take us out of it; then if we return (to evil) surely we shall be unjust. 107 He will say: 'Slink there in it and do not speak to Me' 108 Among My servants, there were those who said, "Lord, We believe, so forgive us and have mercy on us. You are the best one to show mercy." 109 But you made a laughing stock of them to the point where it made you forget My remembrance; and you went on laughing at them. 110 Today I shall recompense them for their patience, for it is they that have won. 111 He will say: How many years did you tarry in the earth? 112 They will say, “We stayed a day or part of a day, so ask those who keep count.” 113 [Whereupon] He will say: "You have spent there but a short while: had you but known [how short it was to be]! 114 What, did you think that We created you only for sport, and that you would not be returned to Us?' 115 Then, exalted be God, the true King, there is no deity except Him, the Lord of the Glorious Throne. 116 And the one who worships any other God along with Allah of which he does not have any proof his account is with his Lord; indeed there is no salvation for the disbelievers. 117 And, [O Muhammad], say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful." 118
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
