Seest thou not that it is Allah Whose praises all beings in the heavens and on earth do celebrate, and the birds (of the air) with wings outspread? Each one knows its own (mode of) prayer and praise. And Allah knows well all that they do. 41 And to Allah belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and to Allah is the return (of all). 42 Do you not see that Allah drives clouds? Then He brings them together, then He makes them into a mass, and you see the rain emerge from within it. And He sends down from the sky, mountains [of clouds] within which is hail, and He strikes with it whom He wills and averts it from whom He wills. The flash of its lightening almost takes away the eyesight. 43 Allah alternates the day and the night; indeed in this is a lesson for those who can perceive. 44 And it is God who has created all animals out of water; and [He has willed that] among them are such as crawl on their bellies, and such as walk on two legs, and such as walk on four. God creates what He will: for, verily, God has the power to will anything. 45 We have sent down Revelations that make the reality quite plain; however, Allah guides to the straight path whomsoever He pleases. 46 And they say: we have believed in Allah and in the apostle and we have obeyed; then there backslide a party of them thereafter: and these are not believers. 47 When they are called to God and His Messenger that he may judge between them, lo, a party of them are swerving aside; 48 But if the right is theirs, they come to him in prompt obedience. 49 Is there a sickness in their hearts, or are they full of doubt? Or do they fear that God and His Messenger will be unjust to them? The truth is that they themselves are wrongdoers. 50
