But when the believers are called to Allah and His Messenger, in order that he judges between them, their reply is: 'We hear and obey' Such are the prosperous. 51 And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger and fears Allah and is conscious of Him - it is those who are the attainers. 52 ۞ They (the hypocrites) solemnly swear by Allah and say, "If you order us, we will leave our homes." Say to them, "Do not swear oaths for your `obedience' is well known; Allah is fully aware of what you are doing. " 53 Say: Obey Allah and obey the messenger. But if ye turn away, then (it is) for him (to do) only that wherewith he hath been charged, and for you (to do) only that wherewith ye have been charged. If ye obey him, ye will go aright. But the messenger hath no other charge than to convey (the message) plainly. 54 Allah has promised to those of you who believe and do good that He will most certainly make them rulers in the earth as He made rulers those before them, and that He will most certainly establish for them their religion which He has chosen for them, and that He will most certainly, after their fear, give them security in exchange; they shall serve Me, not associating aught with Me; and whoever is ungrateful after this, these it is who are the transgressors. 55 So observe your devotional obligations, pay the zakat, and obey the Apostle so that you may be shown mercy. 56 Think not the unbelievers able to frustrate God in the earth; their refuge is the Fire -- an evil homecoming. 57
