۞ And those who look not for a meeting with Us say: Why are angels not sent down unto us and (Why) do we not see our Lord! Assuredly they think too highly of themselves and are scornful with great pride. 21 [Yet] on that Day - the Day on which they shall see the angels there will be no glad tiding for those who were lost in sin; and they will exclaim, "By a forbidding ban [are we from God's grace debarred]!" 22 And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed. 23 Fellows of the Garden shall be on that Day in a goodly abode and a goodly repose. 24 And (remember) the Day when the heaven shall be rent asunder with clouds, and the angels will be sent down, with a grand descending. 25 The dominion on that Day shall be the true dominion of the Compassionate, and it shall be a day upon the infidels hard. 26 The sinner will then bite his hand and say: "Would that I had taken the road with the Prophet. 27 Ah! woe unto me! Would that I had never taken such a one for a friend! 28 he made me forgetful of the warning after it had reached me. Satan is man's great betrayer." 29 The prophet will say: "O my Lord, my people had fettered the Qur'an." 30 Even so We have appointed to every Prophet an enemy among the sinners; but thy Lord suffices as a guide and as a helper. 31 Those who deny the truth say, "Why was the Quran not sent down to him in a single revelation?" We sent it in this manner, so that We might strengthen your heart. We gave it to you in gradual revelation. 32 And they come not unto thee with a similitude but We bring thee the truth and an excellent interpretation. 33 Those who will be pushed faces forward into Hell will be in a worse position, farther away from the path. 34
