Al-Furqaan 3 of 6
۞ But those who do not believe that they are destined to meet Us are wont to say: "Why have no angels been sent down to us?" - or, "Why do we not see our Sustainer?" Indeed, they are far too proud of themselves, having rebelled [against God's truth] with utter disdain! 21 The day they see the angels - no good tidings will there be that day for the criminals, and [the angels] will say, "Prevented and inaccessible." 22 And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed. 23 On that Day, the companions of Paradise (will have) a better abode and a finer restingplace. 24 The day the heavens splits asunder with a dazzling white cloud gathering and the angels descend in a continuous stream, 25 the Kingdom that day, the true Kingdom, shall belong to the All-merciful and it shall be a day harsh for the unbelievers. 26 The unjust man will bite at his hand and say, "Would that I had stood by the Messenger! 27 "Ah! Woe to me! Would that I had never taken so-and-so as a friend! 28 Certainly he led me astray from the reminder after it had come to me; and the Shaitan fails to aid man. 29 And the Messenger will say, "O my Lord, my people had made this Qur'an the object of their ridicule." 30 Thus have We made for every prophet an enemy among the sinners: but enough is thy Lord to guide and to help. 31 And those who disbelieve say: Why has not the Quran been revealed to him all at once? Thus, that We may strengthen your heart by it and We have arranged it well in arranging. 32 and [that] they [who deny the truth] might never taunt thee with any deceptive half-truth without Our conveying to thee the [full] truth and [providing thee] with the best explanation. 33 Those who will be gathered to Hell (prone) on their faces,- they will be in an evil plight, and, as to Path, most astray. 34

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
