۞ Those people, who have no fear of coming before Us, say, "Why should not the angels be sent down to us? Or else we should see our Lord. " Great arrogance have they assumed in regard to themselves, and have transgressed all limits in their rebellion. 21 The Day they see the angels,- no joy will there be to the sinners that Day: The (angels) will say: "There is a barrier forbidden (to you) altogether!" 22 And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed. 23 The inmates of Paradise will have a better abode that day, and a better resting place. 24 On a Day when the sky will split open with its clouds and the angels are sent down rank upon rank, 25 The sovereignty on that Day will be the true (sovereignty), belonging to the Most Beneficent (Allah), and it will be a hard Day for the disbelievers (those who disbelieve in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism). 26 It will be a hard day for the unbelievers. It will be a day when the unjust will bite their fingers, (regretfully) saying, "Would that we had followed the path of the Messengers. 27 "Ah! Woe to me! Would that I had never taken so-and-so as a friend! 28 Assuredly he misled me from the admonition after it had come unto me. Verily the Satan is ever unto man a betrayer. 29 And the messenger saith: O my Lord! Lo! mine own folk make this Qur'an of no account. 30 O Muhammad, in this very way We have made the criminals the enemies of every Prophet, but your Lord suffices for you as your Guide and Helper. 31 The disbelievers say, "Why has not the entire Qur'an been sent down to this man all at once?" -Well, this has been done to impress it deeply on your mind, and (for the same object) We have sent it down piecemeal by degrees. 32 And they will never bring you an example, but We shall bring you a true narration and better than it. 33 Those who will be dragged on their faces towards hell – theirs is the worst destination and they are the most astray. 34
