Al-Furqaan 3 of 6
۞ Those who do not expect a meeting with Us say, "Why are angels not sent down to us?" Or "Why do we not see our Lord?" Surely, they are too proud of themselves and have greatly exceeded all bounds. 21 On the Day when they behold the angels, there will be no glad tidings for the sinners. They will say: 'A refuge which is forbidden' 22 Then We shall advance upon the work which they have done and render it as scattered dust. 23 Those who have earned the Garden on that day will be better in their home and happier in their place of noonday rest; 24 The Day the heaven shall be rent asunder with clouds, and angels shall be sent down, descending (in ranks),- 25 That Day, the dominion as of right and truth, shall be (wholly) for (Allah) Most Merciful: it will be a Day of dire difficulty for the misbelievers. 26 Upon that Day the harmdoer shall bite his hands, and say: 'Would that I had taken a Path with the Messenger! 27 “Woe to me – alas, if only I had not taken that one for a friend.” 28 Certainly he led me astray from the reminder after it had come to me; and the Shaitan fails to aid man. 29 And the messenger saith: O my Lord! Lo! mine own folk make this Qur'an of no account. 30 Thus, from the sinful people We made enemies for every Prophet. Your Lord is a Sufficient Guide and Helper. 31 The unbelievers say, 'Why has the Koran not been sent down upon him all at once?' Even so, that We may strengthen thy heart thereby, and We have chanted it very distinctly. 32 We will support you with the Truth and the best interpretation whenever the infidels argue against you. 33 Those who will be dragged on their faces towards hell – theirs is the worst destination and they are the most astray. 34

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
