۞ Say those who look not to encounter Us, 'Why have the angels not been sent down on us, or why see we not our Lord?' Waxed proud they have within them, and become greatly disdainful. 21 The day they see the angels - no good tidings will there be that day for the criminals, and [the angels] will say, "Prevented and inaccessible." 22 And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed. 23 The inhabitants of the Garden will have the best residence and the finest lodging on that Day. 24 And the day when the sky will be split asunder with clouds and the angels will be sent down in full. 25 The sovereignty on that Day will be the true (sovereignty), belonging to the Most Beneficent (Allah), and it will be a hard Day for the disbelievers (those who disbelieve in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism). 26 On the Day when the wrong-doer shall gnaw his hands saying: would that I had taken with the apostle a way! 27 Would that I had never chosen so and so for my companion! 28 He led me away from the remembrance after it had come to me. And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter." 29 And the messenger saith: O my Lord! Lo! mine own folk make this Qur'an of no account. 30 Thus have We made for every prophet an enemy among the sinners: but enough is thy Lord to guide and to help. 31 Those who deny the truth say, "Why was the Quran not sent down to him in a single revelation?" We sent it in this manner, so that We might strengthen your heart. We gave it to you in gradual revelation. 32 They bring not to thee any similitude but that We bring thee the truth, and better in exposition. 33 Those who will be gathered to Hell (prone) on their faces, such will be in an evil state, and most astray from the (Straight) Path. 34
