Do you not see how your Lord stretches the shadow? Had it been His will, He could have made it constant. Then He appointed the sun to be a guide to it; 45 thereafter We seize it to Us withdrawing it gently. 46 It is He who has made the night as a covering for you, sleep as a rest for you, and the day for you to rise again. 47 And He it is who sends forth the winds as a glad tiding of His coming grace; and [thus, too,] We cause pure water to descend from the skies, 48 so, that with it We revive dead lands and provide drink for the cattle and the human We created. 49 We present the same phenomenon over and over again before them so that they may learn a lesson from it; but most people decline to adopt any other attitude than of disbelief and ingratitude. 50 If We willed, We could have sent a Herald of Warning to every village. 51 Do not yield to the unbelievers but launch a great campaign against them with the help of the Quran. 52 ۞ And it is He Who has let free the two seas (kinds of water), one palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter, and He has set a barrier and a complete partition between them. 53 It is He who has created the human being from water to have relationships of both lineage and wedlock. Your Lord has all power. 54 And yet, some people worship, instead of God, things that can neither benefit them nor harm them: thus, he who denies the truth does indeed turn his back on his Sustainer! 55 Yet [withal, O Prophet,] We have sent thee only as a herald of glad tidings and a warner. 56 Say: 'I demand of you no wage for this except for he who wishes to take the Path to his Lord' 57 And trust thou in the Living One Who dieth not, and hymn His praise. He sufficeth as the Knower of His bondmen's sins, 58 In six days He created the earth and the heavens and all that is between them; then He established Himself on the "Throne" (of the Kingdom of the uriverse). (He is) the Merciful: as to His Glory, ask the one who knows. 59 And when it is said to them, “Prostrate to the Most Gracious” – they say, “And what is the Most Gracious? Shall we prostrate to whatever you command us?” And this command only increases the hatred in them. (Command of Prostration # 7) ۩ 60
